PECTAA has reduced the Computer Science and Entrepreneurship Class 11 (ICS / FSc Part 1) syllabus for the 2027 board exams under its Smart Syllabus, also called the Accelerated Learning Programme (ALP). Below is every topic and exercise item removed from each unit of the new Computer Science and Entrepreneurship-11 textbook, followed by the 2027 paper pattern. Page numbers refer to the current PECTAA textbook.
Quick summary
- No unit is removed completely. All 9 units stay in the syllabus.
- Units 4 (Computational Structures) and 8 (Online Research and Digital Literacy) are complete; nothing is removed from them.

Written paper: 75 marks (Objective 15 + Subjective 60). Time: 2 hours 30 minutes (Objective 20 minutes + Subjective 2 hours 10 minutes). Practical marks are separate.

How to use this for preparation
- Mark the deleted topics first, especially the advanced Python sections (OOP, advanced concepts, testing and debugging) and the blockchain sections.
- Unit 4 is complete and has its own long question, so prepare it fully.
- Long questions come only from units 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7. Units 1, 6, 8 and 9 are tested through MCQs and short questions.
- Unit 1 gives three MCQs and four short questions, so do not leave it for later.
- Practise Python programs by hand, since long question Q5 comes from the Python unit.

Frequently asked questions
Is any unit of Computer Science 11 fully deleted for 2027?
No. All nine units remain. Units 4 and 8 are complete, and the other units lose some topics and exercise questions.
Is object-oriented programming in Python in the 2027 syllabus?
No. Section 2.8 (OOP in Python), 2.9 (advanced Python concepts) and 2.10 (testing and debugging) are removed. The rest of the Python unit stays.
How many marks is the Computer Science 11 paper in 2027?
The written paper is 75 marks: 15 MCQs, 36 marks of short questions and 24 marks of long questions. Practical marks are separate.
