How We Create Our Study Material

Freebooks.pk publishes free study material for students in Pakistan: chapter-wise notes, MCQs, short and long questions, pairing schemes and study guides to the official textbooks. This page explains how that material is made and checked.

Sources We Use

  • The official textbooks and syllabus of the Punjab Curriculum & Textbook Board (PCTB) and other Pakistani boards.
  • Official board notifications, pairing schemes and past board papers.
  • For university topics, openly licensed textbooks (for example OpenStax and Green Tea Press), always credited and linked to the original publisher.

How Chapter-wise Notes Are Prepared

  1. The textbook is digitised. We scan the official textbook and convert it to text (OCR), so the full book is available chapter by chapter.
  2. Notes are drafted from the book only. AI tools read the complete textbook, chapter by chapter, and prepare notes in the same order and with the same topics as the book. Each chapter includes a summary, key points, short questions, long questions, MCQs with answers, and exam tips. Mathematics notes also include solved examples. Definitions and answers are taken from the textbook itself, not from outside material, so the notes stay within the syllabus.
  3. Each chapter is checked against the textbook with the help of AI tools, to confirm that definitions, answers and MCQ keys match the book and that no syllabus topic is missing.
  4. Editorial oversight. Zeeshan Murtaza (Founder & Editor) oversees the whole process, publishes the notes, and corrects any errors that are found or reported by students and teachers.
  5. Updates. Notes are updated when a new edition or syllabus is released, and the update date is shown on the page.

How Textbook Guide Pages Are Prepared

Each textbook page on Freebooks.pk is a study guide to the book, not just a download link.

  • School and college textbooks: the textbook is converted to text (OCR), and for every chapter we give a short summary and the important questions with answers taken from the book.
  • University textbooks: for every chapter we give a summary, key points, important questions with answers, and tips to remember the difficult points.
  • Every textbook page also explains who the book is for: which board or university, which class, course or degree programme it is used in, and where it fits in the syllabus.
  • These guides are prepared with the help of AI tools from the book itself and checked against the book in the same way as our notes.

How Pairing Schemes Are Prepared

Pairing schemes show how marks are divided across chapters in the board exam. Before we publish one, we check the board’s official notification or PDF where it is available, and compare it with the scheme published on several other educational websites. Only the parts that match are published. We then write our own page for each subject and class, and update it if a board announces changes.

Textbooks and Copyright

Freebooks.pk does not host copies of commercially published books. Where a textbook is available from its official publisher, we link to the official source, such as the official Google Drive of the Punjab Curriculum & Textbook Board (PCTB). If you are a copyright holder and believe any material should not be here, please contact us through our DMCA page and we will review it promptly.
