10th Class Maths Pairing Scheme 2025 PDF Download – Punjab Boards

Class 10 Mathematics students under the Punjab boards now have the official 2025 pairing scheme to guide their board exam preparation. It applies to BISE Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Multan, Bahawalpur, and Dera Ghazi Khan, plus the Azad Kashmir board, and sets out how the 75-mark theory paper is spread across all 13 chapters.

Maths is a scoring subject when you practise the right chapters. This scheme shows which chapters supply MCQs, how the short questions are grouped across Questions 2, 3 and 4, and which chapters appear in the long questions — including the compulsory Question 9. Use it to focus your practice where the marks actually are.

The 15 MCQs are distributed across the 13 chapters. Chapters 9 and 12 carry no MCQ this year.

Q.5 Q.6 Q.7 Q.8 Q.9 (compulsory)
Ch 1 & 2 Ch 3 & 4 Ch 5 & 6 Ch 7 & 13 Ch 9 or 12

Attempt any 3 of the 5 long questions, but Q.9 (a theorem/problem from Chapter 9 or 12) is compulsory. Questions 5-8 each have parts (a) and (b) from the chapters shown.

Important Things to Know

  • Question 9 is compulsory and usually a theorem or construction from Chapter 9 or 12 — prepare both well.
  • Chapter 5 carries the most short-question weight (four questions), so practise it thoroughly.
  • The 2025 paper follows the SLO-based pattern, so it differs a little from older papers; even so, roughly 90% of this scheme is expected to hold.
  • This scheme is built around Punjab boards. Practise every chapter fully rather than relying on the scheme alone.
